Download linux-fullhist.tar.bz2, which is a linux kernel git repository with the complete history from 0.0.1 to 3.0 (making things like "git annotate" a lot mroe useful). This tarball contains a .git directory which updates itself from Linux's upstream when you "git pull". To use it:
